Notre Dame
Walking from the
Louver
to
Notre Dame
is basically along the
Seine
where there's great bridges and a walkway down by the water.
And there it is
And there I am
The back side is crazy complicated
Along the North side there is a narrow street and many shops
And finally the crowds.
Whew... Long day done!
The Louvre
Again with the lines... I decided to wait.
If you look through the nearby
Arc Du Carrousel
, past the inverted Pyramid...
you can see the full sized
Arc Du Triomphe
in the distance.
And outside... about to walk to Notre Dame
Sacre Coeur
After the Arc, I took the metro to
Pigalle
, then walked over and took the funicular up the hill at Montmartre to the beautiful...
Sacre Coeur
And some of the surrounding streets.
I had to take my hat off in here.
It's been pretty crowded all day.
OK then - Headed off to the Louver!
Arc Du Triomphe
And there it is, just like a million postcards...
And just as fantastic inside.
And here's something you don't see every day...
La Tour Eiffel
Started out as a beautiful day. I took the Metro to École Militaire and walked to the Eiffel Tower down the...
Champs De Mars.
The lines to go up were Ginormous.
Fisheye lens still barely captures.
This one's for Siena...
From across the Seine at the Jardins du Trocadéro,
Now... off to the Arc.
